I also think you may be right that Jesse killing the fly for Walt was a foreshadowing that Jesse really would KILL for Walt if it was needed and certainly Jesse would risk his life for him.

It's like in that scene where Walt is being all fatherly and seeming to give Jesse is blessing to marry Andrea. But really, Walt is trying to stop Jesse growing up and having a family of his own because Walt wants Jesse to stay with him.
