Wow, that sounds great! I love both characters and a Zarek/Gaeta storyline should be interesting and probably quite intense to watch. As much as I like Zarek though, I'm not too sure if I want to see him as President. We already had too many weak and corrupt Presidents on the show and I doubt that Zarek would be any better than that.
Besides, where does that leave Lee? Gah, I hope they aren't pulling off the dying leader-storyline with him *gulp*
